Rough sleeping

The team offers help to people who are identified as rough sleeping, helping with both accommodation and their support needs. The team works in partnership with other services, including health and mental health services.

The Hull Street Outreach Service is also commissioned by the team. They complete daily outreach to those who are either reported as possible rough sleepers or those confirmed as rough sleepers. Hull Street Outreach Service works 7 days a week, advocating for rough sleepers.

Their tasks include -

  • welfare checks
  • signposting to services
  • referrals to other services

The outreach team receive reports that will give information about someone who is sleeping rough. The team visits and makes the necessary referrals to services.
